Additionally, the USB port can host a 3G/4G LTE modem connecting to the 3G/4G LTE network for Internet access. With an array of advanced features, the Billion BiPAC 7800DXL delivers a future-proof solution for ADSL2+ connections, superfast FTTC and ultra-speed FTTH (Fibre-To-The-Home) network deployment and services. Maximum Performance Dual-band Router Featured with simultaneous dual-band technology, the Billion BiPAC 7800DXL can run both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands at the same time, offering ultra-fast wireless speeds of up to 600Mbps and multiple SSIDs on both bands.

The Billion BiPAC 7800DXL, by adopting this state-of-the-art technology, allows for multiple-demand applications, such as streaming HD videos and multiplayer gaming simultaneously. With an integrated 802.11n Wireless Access Point, the router delivers up to 6 times the speed of an 802.11a/b/g network device. It supports a data rate of up to 600Mbps (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and is also compatible with 802.11a/b/g equipment.

Secure Wireless Encryption (WEP) features enhance the level of transmission security and access control over wireless LAN. The Billion BiPAC also supports the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) standard, allowing users to establish a secure wireless network by simply pushing a button. If your network requires wider coverage, the built-in Wireless Distribution System (WDS) repeater function allows you to expand your wireless network without the need for any external wires or cables. Automatic Failover The auto fail-over feature of the Billion BiPAC ensures maximum connectivity and minimum interruption by quickly and smoothly connecting to a 3G/4G LTE network in the event that your ADSL/fibre/cable line fails. The Billion BiPAC 7800DXL will then automatically reconnect to the ADSL/fibre/cable connection when it's restored, reducing connection costs.

These features are perfect for office situations where a constant and uninterrupted connection is critical. Experience Gigabit The Billion BiPAC 7800DXL has four Gigabit LAN ports and the fourth port can be configured as a WAN port if required. This EWAN offers another broadband connectivity option for connecting to a cable, VDSL, fibre or second ADSL modem. The Billion BiPAC 7800DXL again offers users convenience and optimal network performance with data rates reaching up to 1Gbps. Pathway to the Future The Billion BiPAC 7800DXL fully supports IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6), launched as the current IPv4 range is filling up, and IPv6 is gradually becoming the indispensable addressing system for savvy cloud computing users.

Dual stack means the router is capable of running IPv4 and IPv6 in parallel during the transition period. With Billion IPv6 enabled devices, three major transition mechanisms such as Dual-Stack, Dual-Stack Lite, and 6RD (IPv6 rapid deployment) are supported to be adapted easily into service providerâs IPv4/IPv6 network. Requires the Openreach Fibre modem. For a list of supported 4G dongles, please ask for details.

3G Mobile Broadband enables you to connect computers or laptops by either wired or wireless connections to the internet, anywhere, anytime. Working in a very similar way to a conventional broadband except that the internet is accessed over the 3G network. Most 3G routers use a 3G USB modem, often provided by a mobile network provider, so please ensure your 3G USB modem is compatible. Share your 3G broadband via Ethernet or wireless.

Share peripherals such as printers to create a complete mobile office. Stay connected throughout the world with 3G broadband, 3G and GPRS.

Ideal for builders or building sites requiring temporary broadband internet access on-site / Portacabins. Temporary internet access at exhibitions. Ideal for users unable to get conventional adsl or cable broadband.

Perfect for temporary locations, as an alternative to fixed line broadband solutions. The industry is seeing an increasing uptake of 3G USB dongles and sticks and even the stalwart 3G PCMCIA/PC Card is being used to take advantage of the improving performance of the 3G networks.

Most networks are headlining up to 7.2 Mbps for their mobile broadband and the infrastructure will eventually allow speeds of 14.4 Mbps. However the reality is a little different, and is very much dependant on the coverage in your particular area. London and other major cities are offering the best 3G coverage, with download speeds reported in the 2 Mbps - 3 Mbps bracket and with HSUPA, upload speeds increase to 1 Mbps, comparing reasonably favourably with the fixed line performance of ADSL and cable. Coverage and speed is only set to improve as the 3G operators turn up the wick on their networks, although as more users sign up contention (the amount of users sharing the same bandwidth) will be an issue, just as it is for fixed line connectivity. The introduction of 3G routers into the market is an exciting trend, as this allows users to create their own portable hotspot, in effect sharing their 3G connection wirelessly ideal for applications with either expensive internet access or no fixed line internet access at all, such as an exhibition or show, a hotel room or holiday let, or even out on the road.

Many businesses are taking advantage of routers that integrate Autofailover technology. If the fixed line ADSL goes down, the device will automatically fail over to the 3G network, and switch back to ADSL when the line is back up.

As 3G products penetrate the business market, so SLAs and managed services for 3G connectivity become increasingly important. Most operators now offer fixed IP options on a 3G SIM, which allows for bandwidth management, diagnostic tools and even secure private networking (VPN). In many countries around the world, especially in Scandanavia, 3G connectivity is available in the home and office at a price and at a speed that matches many standard UK fixed line packages.

As the 3G operators remain committed to improving the performance of their networks, the trend towards 3G connectivity in the UK is only set to continue.
